The Pakistan Cricket Board has revealed the 15-player Under-19 squad set to tour England, appointing Farhan Yousaf as the team captain. The squad will compete in one Youth Test and four Youth One Day Internationals (ODIs) scheduled from September 2 to 16.
The Youth Test match is slated for September 2 to 5 at Arundel, followed by the ODIs: the first on September 9 at Arundel, the second on September 12 at Guildford, the third on September 14 at Wormsley, and the final ODI on September 16.
The squad features pace bowlers Muhammad Siyam, Abdul Subhan, Rizwanullah, and Umar Zeb; spinners Muhammad Huzaifa and Naqaab Shafiq; all-rounders Aliyan Salman, Ahmed Hussain, Jahangir Bilal, and Hayyam Khan; wicketkeepers Hamza Zahoor and Abdul Qadir; and batters Farhan Yousaf, Usman Khan, and Hasnain Abbas Dar.
Prior to the tour, the team conducted a training camp at the National Cricket Academy, which included a two-day red-ball intra-squad match. Nine members—Farhan, Subhan, Ahmed, Hamza, Siyam, Huzaifa, Naqaab, Umar, and Usman—bring previous Under-19 international experience, while the remaining players will be making their debuts.
Shahid Anwar will lead as head coach, supported by coaching staff members Rao Iftikhar Anjum, Zohaib Khan, and Humayun Farhat. The squad is scheduled to depart from Lahore to England on August 30 to prepare for the upcoming fixtures.
