Security Forces Kill 4 India-Sponsored Terrorists in Khuzdar, Balochistan

Security forces successfully eliminated four terrorists sponsored by India and destroyed two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) during an intelligence-driven operation in Khuzdar district, Balochistan. The operation targeted militants linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan.

During the mission, security personnel intercepted the movement of two explosives-laden vehicles and engaged the militants operating them. Both VBIEDs were destroyed, and the terrorists were killed in a swift and decisive action. Following the operation, sanitisation efforts are ongoing to clear the area of any remaining hostile elements.

This counterterrorism campaign is part of the broader Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, which continues in close coordination with law enforcement agencies to combat militancy supported by foreign entities across Pakistan.

Since the Afghan Taliban assumed power in 2021, Pakistan has experienced a rise in terrorist activities, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan provinces. A recent report from the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) highlights that these two provinces remained the primary centers of violence during the second quarter of 2026, with KP being the most affected region.

The report reveals that KP and Balochistan together accounted for approximately 96% of all fatalities related to violence nationwide in that period. KP alone reported over 61% of the deaths, totaling 475, while Balochistan accounted for 34%, with 265 fatalities. KP also recorded the highest number of violent incidents at 151 cases, representing 57% of the country’s total, followed by Balochistan with 94 incidents, or 35%, underscoring the concentration of militant activity in these areas.
