A cutting-edge General Bus Terminal in Peshawar, sprawling over 323 kanals, is poised to become one of the largest infrastructure undertakings in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. With an investment of Rs4.2 billion, the project is designed to offer world-class travel amenities, a streamlined transport system, and a modern, well-equipped environment for commuters.
Special Assistant for Information Shafi Jan highlighted that this initiative exemplifies the province’s ongoing development momentum. He noted that the current presentation is only a preview, with a comprehensive documentary on the project scheduled for release soon. The new terminal will feature advanced facilities and an efficient transport network, soon accessible to the public.
In a significant development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has approved the addition of a new general hospital for Peshawar and an electric bus initiative for the Peshawar Ring Road. This decision was made during a consultative session with parliamentarians from the Peshawar region, held at Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad. The meeting, attended by Senators, MNAs, and MPAs, focused on setting development priorities for the Provincial Annual Development Program 2026–27.
