In Islamabad, Saudi Arabia’s Finance Minister Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House during a brief visit. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

Al-Jadaan’s visit coincides with Pakistan hosting peace negotiations between Iran and the United States. During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his respectful greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He recalled his recent warm and cordial phone conversation with the Crown Prince and expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s longstanding economic and financial assistance, which has been instrumental in maintaining Pakistan’s economic stability.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan’s people and government have consistently stood in solidarity with their Saudi counterparts, underscoring the deep and enduring relationship that has strengthened under the Crown Prince’s leadership. He further highlighted Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing cooperation with Saudi Arabia across various sectors, particularly focusing on trade, investment, and economic development.

In response, Finance Minister Al-Jadaan expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to bolstering the strong fraternal ties between the two nations, aligning with the vision of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb saw off Al-Jadaan at Islamabad International Airport following his visit. The two leaders exchanged cordial remarks and briefly discussed bilateral relations and ongoing economic collaboration. Senator Aurangzeb also conveyed his anticipation of meeting Al-Jadaan again during the upcoming World Bank Group–IMF Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., reflecting the enduring and close partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
