Pakistan Relays US Proposal to Iran Amid Ongoing Diplomatic Efforts

In a significant development in the ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict, Pakistan has reportedly conveyed a proposal from the United States to Iran. This move highlights Pakistan’s role as a key intermediary in the delicate negotiations aimed at de-escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington.

A senior Iranian official, who requested anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the issue, confirmed the transmission of the US proposal but refrained from disclosing specific details. It remains unclear whether the proposal corresponds to the widely discussed 15-point framework that Washington is believed to have presented as a basis for dialogue.

Meanwhile, the prospect of direct talks between Iran and the United States continues to face challenges, with no consensus yet reached on the location for such negotiations. Both Pakistan and Turkey are being considered as potential hosts for these critical discussions, reflecting the strategic importance of these regional players in facilitating dialogue.

Turkey has also been actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to promote de-escalation, working alongside Pakistan and other regional powers to create conditions conducive to peace. Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan has emphasized that friendly nations like Pakistan are instrumental in laying the groundwork for communication between Tehran and Washington. He expressed optimism that these behind-the-scenes efforts could eventually contribute to ending the conflict.
