On Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif issued a strong condemnation of the recent attacks that targeted Kuwait, expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss of innocent lives. He extended heartfelt condolences to the families affected and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the violent incidents. The prime minister’s response reflects Pakistan’s unwavering empathy and concern for the safety and well-being of the Kuwaiti people during this difficult time.

In a significant gesture of solidarity, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait. During this warm and constructive dialogue, the prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Kuwait, describing the two nations as bound by historic and fraternal ties. The discussion highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to standing alongside Kuwait in the face of adversity, reinforcing the close diplomatic relationship between the two countries.

Beyond expressing condolences, the prime minister underscored the critical importance of regional cooperation in maintaining peace and stability across the Gulf and surrounding areas. He emphasized that all countries in the region must prioritize dialogue and diplomatic efforts to resolve differences, thereby preventing further conflicts and fostering a secure environment for their citizens. This call for unity and peaceful engagement resonates strongly given the current geopolitical challenges facing the Middle East.

The conversation also coincided with the joyous occasion of Eid ul Fitr, during which both leaders exchanged warm greetings and best wishes. They conveyed hopes for continued peace, prosperity, and well-being not only for the people of Pakistan and Kuwait but also for the entire Muslim Ummah worldwide. This exchange of goodwill during a significant religious festival highlights the cultural and spiritual bonds that complement the political and economic relations between the two nations.

Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent his respectful regards to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, further strengthening the message of friendship and mutual respect. In a forward-looking gesture, the prime minister reiterated his invitation to the Kuwaiti Crown Prince to visit Pakistan officially at a time convenient for him, signaling an eagerness to deepen bilateral ties through high-level engagements. Both leaders concluded their conversation by agreeing to maintain close communication, ensuring that the strong partnership between Pakistan and Kuwait continues to flourish.
