Earlier May attacks on security forces
The Naseerabad incident follows other attacks earlier in May this year. In Quetta, at least nine policemen were killed in a terrorist attack in the Mangi Phase III area of Quetta, Balochistan.
Officials said an exchange of fire between security personnel and the attackers continued through the night, and police fought them for several hours. In Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police said a loader rickshaw laden with explosives blew up in a busy market during rush hour, killing at least nine people and injuring 23 others.
