In the holy city of Makkah, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar undertook the spiritual journey of Umrah during the sacred month of Ramadan. This pilgrimage, deeply significant for Muslims worldwide, was marked by heartfelt prayers for the strength and resilience of Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies. His visit comes at a critical time as Pakistan continues to face complex security challenges in the region.

During his three-day stay in Saudi Arabia, where he is attending the Open-Ended Extraordinary Ministerial Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Senator Dar took a moment to seek divine support for the nation’s defenders. He expressed his prayers for the courage and steadfastness of the military and police personnel who are on the frontlines combating terrorism and safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty against various threats, including provocations from the Afghan Taliban regime.

Sharing his reflections on social media, Senator Dar described his Umrah experience as a spiritually uplifting occasion. He emphasized the importance of invoking blessings not only for the armed forces but also for the broader well-being and prosperity of Pakistan. His prayers extended to fostering unity and harmony among the diverse peoples of the country, highlighting the need for national solidarity in these challenging times.

It is worth noting that the Deputy Prime Minister’s visit to Makkah coincides with Ramadan, a month regarded as a period of reflection, forgiveness, and renewal in the Islamic calendar. By performing Umrah during this holy month, Senator Dar underscored the deep connection between faith and national service, seeking Allah’s mercy and protection for all Pakistani citizens. His prayers also called for a hopeful future for the generations to come, emphasizing peace and stability as essential pillars for Pakistan’s progress.

As Pakistan navigates a complex geopolitical landscape, the role of its armed forces and law enforcement agencies remains pivotal. Senator Dar’s spiritual appeal highlights the ongoing commitment of Pakistan’s leadership to support these institutions, recognizing their sacrifices and dedication. His presence at the OIC session further reflects Pakistan’s active engagement in international forums aimed at fostering cooperation among Muslim nations.
