Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar undertook the sacred Umrah pilgrimage in Makkah during the holy month of Ramadan, using this spiritual occasion to offer heartfelt prayers for the strength and resilience of Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies. His visit comes at a critical time when Pakistan’s security forces are actively engaged in countering threats and maintaining national stability.

During his three-day stay in Saudi Arabia, where he is also attending the Open-Ended Extraordinary Ministerial Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Senator Dar expressed deep gratitude and sought divine support for those safeguarding the country. He emphasized the tireless efforts of Pakistan’s military and law enforcement personnel, who continue to confront challenges posed by terrorism and regional unrest, particularly in light of recent provocations from the Afghan Taliban regime.

Taking to social media, the Deputy Prime Minister shared his reflections on the spiritual experience, stating, “Alhamdulillah, I performed Umrah today in this blessed month of Ramadan Karim. I prayed for strength and courage for our brave armed forces and law enforcement agencies who tirelessly work for combating threats and terrorism to protect our nation.” His words resonated with many Pakistanis who look to their security forces for protection and stability amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Beyond the immediate concerns of national security, Senator Dar also prayed for the overall well-being and prosperity of Pakistan. He sought harmony among the diverse peoples of the country and envisioned a future filled with peace and progress for generations to come. His supplications included asking for Allah’s mercy and blessings to continuously safeguard the nation and its citizens from harm.

This spiritual journey and the prayers offered by the Deputy Prime Minister highlight the close connection between faith and national service in Pakistan, especially during Ramadan, a time when many seek divine guidance and strength. His visit to Makkah not only underscores the importance of religious devotion but also reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in their vital role of protecting the country.
