In a significant incident on Saturday, four individuals sustained injuries following a powerful explosion at a residence in Islamabad’s Sector F-15/2, an area under the jurisdiction of Tarnol police station. The blast reportedly originated from a gas leak, suspected to have come from a water heater (geyser) inside the house.

Emergency response teams promptly arrived at the scene, where they managed to control the fire that erupted as a result of the explosion. A magistrate was also present during the rescue operation to supervise the emergency procedures and ensure proper coordination among the responders. The injured victims were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical treatment for their injuries.

The explosion inflicted considerable damage to the property, with windows and doors shattered and walls compromised due to the force of the blast. This incident highlights the potential dangers associated with gas appliances when safety measures are not adequately maintained. The Capital Emergency Services confirmed their involvement in managing the situation and assisting the affected residents.

Authorities have launched a thorough investigation to ascertain the precise cause and circumstances that led to the explosion. Meanwhile, residents in the area have been urged to exercise caution and ensure regular maintenance of gas-related equipment to prevent similar accidents in the future.
