A Karachi court on Monday extended the physical remand of Anmol, also known as Pinky, by four days in connection with a murder case registered at Baghdadi police station. The suspect, initially detained on charges of operating a drug supply network, faces additional allegations related to the murder investigation.

Pinky was arrested on May 12 during a coordinated raid conducted by police and a civilian intelligence agency at her residence in Karachi’s Garden area. Authorities recovered weapons, cocaine, and other narcotics valued at approximately Rs1.5 million from her possession. She is accused of managing an extensive drug distribution operation within the port city.

Despite these accusations, Pinky denied the claims, stating she was held in Lahore for 15 days before being transferred to Karachi. During court proceedings on May 13, investigators disclosed that 1,540 grams of cocaine and 6,970 grams of raw drug material were seized during the arrest.

Initial investigations revealed that Pinky admitted to paying substantial bribes, amounting to hundreds of thousands of rupees monthly, to various police stations across Karachi. She also confessed to overseeing narcotics sales exceeding Rs20 million per month in the city.

In a significant development during a press briefing on May 15, Karachi Additional Inspector General Azad Khan disclosed that the drug network had foreign links, involving six African nationals and several women based in Lahore. He further mentioned that some Lahore-based women were active participants in the ring. Police continue to conduct raids to capture additional accomplices connected to the operation.
