Meghan Markle Shares Experience as ‘Most Trolled Person Worldwide’

Meghan Markle has candidly discussed the severe online harassment she has faced over the years, describing herself as once being “the most trolled person in the entire world.” The Duchess of Sussex made these remarks during a visit to Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, where she and Prince Harry met with young people to promote mental health awareness.

During a discussion session, Meghan reflected on her personal struggles with online negativity, revealing that she endured bullying and attacks every single day for a decade. She highlighted the relentless nature of the abuse, stating, “For 10 years, every day, I have been bullied and attacked.”

Notably, she criticized social media platforms for their role in perpetuating harmful behavior, describing them as a “billion-dollar industry” that profits from negativity and engagement fueled by cruelty. Meghan suggested these platforms lack sufficient motivation to address or reduce such toxic interactions.

Despite the challenges she has faced, Meghan emphasized the importance of resilience, urging young people to develop strength to withstand the harsh realities of the digital world. “That’s not going to change,” she said about the online environment, “so you have to be stronger than that.”

This visit was part of the couple’s four-day tour of Australia, which includes stops in Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney. Their engagements focus on mental health, community resilience, and supporting young people. Meanwhile, Prince Harry participated in the InterEdge Summit in Melbourne later the same day, where he is scheduled to speak on workplace mental health and the need for supportive environments.

Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to be outspoken advocates for mental well-being, using their platform to raise awareness and encourage open conversations about mental health challenges.
