The trophy for the upcoming ODI tri-nation series between Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka was unveiled at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday, ahead of the tournament’s opening match. Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi, England’s Harry Brook and Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis, the captains of the three participating teams, posed alongside the trophy at the ceremony.
Opening fixtures set for October in Rawalpindi
The seven-match competition will begin on October 18, with hosts Pakistan facing Sri Lanka in the opener at Rawalpindi. Pakistan, led by Shaheen Afridi, will then take on England on October 20 at the same venue. The Rawalpindi leg concludes on October 22, when England and Sri Lanka meet.
League format, Lahore venue and final
The tournament is split between Rawalpindi and Lahore, with each team playing the other two sides twice in the league stage. After the first three matches, all teams move to Lahore for the remaining league games and the final. Pakistan will play Sri Lanka there on October 27, while England and Sri Lanka meet on October 29 in the last round-robin match.
The top two teams on the points table will advance to the final, scheduled for October 31 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
