Former opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad has praised Sahibzada Farhan’s leadership in T20 cricket following Pakistan’s 82-run victory over Sri Lanka in the second Twenty20 match. Shehzad singled out Farhan, the T20 skipper, along with Maaz Sadaqat and Imran Randhawa for their contributions.
With that win, Pakistan had built an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Shehzad shared his views on the social media platform X, where he said Farhan had the ability to guide the team with consistently strong results.
Farhan’s captaincy and the series lead
Shehzad noted that Farhan has won three of his four matches as captain. He said it was encouraging to see a leader who guides the squad through his own performances.
Shehzad also described the series as convincing for Pakistan overall. He added that the 34-year-old had seen an impressive series from the national side.
Praise for Sadaqat and Randhawa
Shehzad said Maaz Sadaqat’s batting alongside Farhan was another positive for Pakistan. He also credited Imran Randhawa for a brilliant bowling spell.
In his post, Shehzad urged that Razaullah and Sufiyan be given consistent opportunities to develop and prove themselves rather than being left on the sidelines.
