Faisal Vawda Claims Murad Saeed Directing KP From Afghanistan

Former PTI figure Senator Faisal Vawda claims that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is taking instructions from Murad Saeed, a PTI leader whom Vawda says is currently in Afghanistan. He made the remarks on the talk show Aiteraz Hai on a private news channel, saying he had received information to that effect.

Vawda also said he had forecast ten months earlier that an emergency and governor’s rule would be imposed in the country. He further predicted that Afridi could be disqualified and that the PTI might face a ban.

Vawda criticises the political system and PTI

Vawda described the emerging political arrangement as an effort to curb terrorism. He said the Balochistan provincial government, despite its shortcomings, was cooperating in the fight against militancy.

He questioned whether the existing system amounted to democracy for a small group of 500 elites, arguing that new people should be allowed into politics. He also accused the PTI of failing to abandon what he called a culture of abusive language and arson.

Governor Kundi given 180 days to show progress

On the situation in KP, Vawda said Governor Faisal Karim Kundi had 180 days to demonstrate progress and would be monitored during that period. He added that failure was not an option.

If the advisory council succeeded within 180 days, Vawda said, the public would reject the current political leadership in favour of alternatives.
