Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reportedly asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to leave a parliamentary party meeting, according to sources. The development was reported from Islamabad.
Bilawal’s reported remarks to the governor
According to sources, the meeting was already underway when Kundi arrived. On seeing him, Bilawal reportedly said: “Mr Kundi, this is a parliamentary party meeting. Please leave for now.”
Sources said Bilawal also advised the governor to adopt a more humble tone. He reportedly told him that such arrogance was inappropriate and that his position was given due to the party’s political compulsion.
PPP concerns over threats and governor’s rule
Sources said Bilawal was unhappy with Kundi’s harsh remarks against PTI workers and his repeated statements perceived as threats. He also reportedly objected to the governor’s aggressive stance on imposing governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PPP chairman had reportedly asked Kundi to avoid making threatening statements on the matter.
