Pakistan and Kuwait have agreed to bolster their bilateral cooperation across several vital sectors following delegation-level discussions held in Islamabad on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. The talks involved Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Kuwaiti counterpart, focusing on expanding mutual interests.
In a significant development, both parties committed to intensifying collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, energy, defence, and information technology. They also emphasized the importance of enhancing high-level exchanges and institutional partnerships to further solidify the longstanding brotherly relationship between the two nations.
Meanwhile, the foreign ministers pledged to maintain close coordination on regional and international matters of shared concern. The Kuwaiti foreign minister expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s hospitality and acknowledged Pakistan’s support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The discussions also addressed the evolving situation in the Middle East and Palestine. Notably, the Kuwaiti side commended Pakistan’s constructive role in fostering peace and stability in the region.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to deepen its enduring partnership with Kuwait across all sectors of mutual interest, underscoring the commitment to further strengthen bilateral ties.
