Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar emphasized that the friendship between Pakistan and China has consistently endured through every challenge, as both nations celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations and collaboration.

Speaking at a ceremony focused on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Tarar expressed that the entire Pakistani nation is commemorating this significant milestone with immense pride and joy. He highlighted that the bond between the two countries is deeply rooted in mutual trust, shared interests, and strong people-to-people connections.

He pointed out that beyond geographical proximity, Pakistan and China maintain close social, cultural, and diplomatic ties. Tarar referenced recent high-level visits, noting that the Pakistani prime minister’s trips to China have further strengthened bilateral cooperation, while President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan has charted a new course for future engagement.

Describing CPEC as a vital element of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, the minister underscored that the project symbolizes development, enhanced connectivity, and shared prosperity for both countries. He also mentioned the expanding cooperation in media, culture, and interpersonal exchanges between Pakistan and China.

Tarar remarked that the friendship between the two nations continues to grow stronger over time, with delegation exchanges playing a crucial role in deepening these ties. He recalled his own visits to China during his early career in the Punjab government as a testament to these enduring connections.

Furthermore, he affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to actively supporting the Global Development Initiative, reflecting the shared vision of both countries for promoting regional stability and fostering global cooperation.
