Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a live firing test of the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, an anti-ship weapon system developed domestically. This event showcased the Navy’s precision strike capability and operational readiness, marking a significant advancement in its combat proficiency.

The missile executed its mission with remarkable accuracy, confirming the Pakistan Navy’s ability to detect, target, and neutralize enemy sea-based threats at extended distances. This test follows the successful trial of another indigenous ship-launched anti-ship missile on April 16, further highlighting the progress in Pakistan’s naval defense technology.

In a notable development, the Pakistan Navy’s demonstration represents a crucial enhancement in national defense capabilities, reinforcing the Armed Forces’ multi-dimensional and coordinated strike posture within the conventional warfare domain. The Navy reaffirmed its dedication to protecting the country’s maritime interests and sovereign waters.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir, along with other service chiefs, extended their congratulations to the scientists and engineers responsible for this important achievement.

This successful test is part of a series of recent accomplishments by Pakistan’s military branches. On January 10, the Navy test-fired a surface-to-air missile during exercises in the North Arabian Sea, demonstrating capabilities that include both conventional and unmanned systems aligned with modern naval warfare demands. Additionally, the Pakistan Air Force conducted a flight test of the Taimoor Weapon System, an indigenous missile capable of striking land and sea targets with precision at ranges up to 600 kilometers.
