Car buyer robbed after online vehicle sale advert in Karachi
In a separate incident reported on October 15, 2026, a Karachi resident was robbed of his car and mobile phone at gunpoint. The complainant, Usman, a resident of the Tariq Road area, had listed his 2022-model car for sale on an online platform, and a man then contacted him to arrange an inspection.
Usman said the man asked him to bring the car near a school in Block 3 of Delhi Mercantile Society and then requested a test drive. The suspect drove to Liberty Chowk, where an accomplice joined them before they headed towards Shahrah-e-Faisal.
Usman alleged that both men brandished firearms, snatched his mobile phone and forced him out of the vehicle before fleeing with the car. Police investigations are underway in both cases, which highlight continuing concerns over street crime in Karachi.
