Atta Tarar Details Major Success of Operation Ghazab lil Haq Against Taliban Militants

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar has unveiled comprehensive details regarding the recently conducted Operation Ghazab lil Haq, a significant military campaign targeting Taliban militants. The operation, launched in response to cross-border hostilities, has reportedly inflicted heavy losses on the insurgents, marking a critical phase in Pakistan’s efforts to secure its borders and counter militant threats.

In a detailed statement shared on the social media platform X, Atta Tarar disclosed that the operation has so far resulted in the elimination of 435 militants, whom the authorities have labeled as “Khawarij,” a term historically used to describe extremist factions. In addition to the fatalities, around 630 militants have sustained injuries during the ongoing offensive, indicating the scale and intensity of the military action.

Moreover, the operation has successfully dismantled 188 Taliban check posts, which were strategically positioned along the border areas. The military also managed to capture 31 additional posts, further weakening the Taliban’s territorial control. The destruction extended to 188 enemy tanks and armored vehicles, significantly degrading the militants’ operational capabilities. These achievements highlight the effectiveness of the coordinated ground and air campaign against entrenched militant positions.

Airstrikes played a pivotal role in the operation, with Pakistani forces conducting precision attacks at 51 different locations inside Afghanistan. These strikes targeted key militant hideouts and supply routes, disrupting their logistics and command structures. The use of air power alongside ground forces underscores the comprehensive approach adopted by Pakistan’s military to neutralize threats emanating from across the border.

Prior to the minister’s announcement, security officials had confirmed a successful raid in Khost, where an arms depot linked to Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban was destroyed. This depot was reportedly a critical supply hub for the militants, and its destruction is expected to hamper their ability to sustain prolonged engagements. The operation comes amid heightened tensions following what Pakistani authorities describe as unprovoked aggression along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, which has prompted a robust military response.

These developments reflect the increasing pressure on Taliban and allied militant groups, who are reportedly facing setbacks on multiple fronts due to intensified security operations. The Pakistani military’s proactive stance aims to restore stability in the border regions and prevent further incursions that threaten national security. As the situation evolves, authorities remain vigilant and committed to safeguarding the country from militant activities.
