Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Atta Tarar, has unveiled comprehensive details regarding the ongoing military campaign known as Operation Ghazab lil Haq, aimed at countering Taliban forces along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The operation, launched in response to cross-border attacks, has reportedly inflicted significant damage on militant groups, marking a critical phase in Pakistan’s efforts to secure its frontiers and dismantle insurgent networks.

In a detailed update shared on the social media platform X, Atta Tarar highlighted that the operation has so far resulted in the elimination of 435 militants, whom the government has labeled as “Khawarij,” a term historically used to describe extremist factions. In addition to those killed, approximately 630 militants have sustained injuries during the ongoing offensive. These figures underscore the intensity and scale of the military action undertaken by Pakistan’s security forces.

Beyond the human toll on militant ranks, the operation has also targeted the Taliban’s infrastructure and logistical capabilities. the minister, 188 Taliban check posts have been completely destroyed, severely disrupting their control and surveillance along the border regions. Furthermore, Pakistani forces have managed to capture 31 additional posts, further weakening the Taliban’s foothold in these contested areas. The destruction of these strategic positions represents a significant blow to the operational capacity of the insurgents.

Military hardware has also been a key focus of Operation Ghazab lil Haq. Atta Tarar revealed that 188 tanks and armored vehicles belonging to the Taliban forces were destroyed during the campaign. This loss of heavy equipment is expected to diminish the militants’ ability to launch coordinated attacks and defend their positions effectively. The operation has also involved precise airstrikes, with 51 separate locations targeted inside Afghanistan, demonstrating Pakistan’s resolve to take the fight beyond its borders in response to militant provocations.

Earlier reports from security officials confirmed that Pakistani forces carried out a successful raid in Khost province, where they destroyed a major arms depot linked to Fitna al-Khawarij and Taliban factions. This strike not only deprived the militants of crucial weaponry but also sent a clear message about Pakistan’s commitment to neutralizing threats emanating from across the border. The operation comes amid escalating tensions following what Islamabad describes as unprovoked aggression by militant groups along the frontier.

As the offensive continues, Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban are reportedly facing mounting pressure and setbacks on multiple fronts. The Pakistani military’s coordinated ground and air campaign aims to dismantle the insurgents’ networks, disrupt their supply chains, and restore stability to the border regions. Operation Ghazab lil Haq thus represents a pivotal chapter in Pakistan’s ongoing struggle against militancy and cross-border terrorism.
