Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, has emphatically stated that Pakistan’s armed forces stand ready to decisively counter any hostile actions from the Afghan regime. Speaking amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, he expressed unwavering confidence in the military’s capability to protect the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a message shared on social media, Barrister Gohar invoked prayers for the safety and security of Pakistan, emphasizing the country’s commitment to peaceful relations with its neighbors whenever feasible. However, he made it clear that Pakistan will not hesitate to confront any threats or acts of aggression that endanger its national security. This stance reflects a broader policy of balancing diplomatic engagement with a firm defense posture.
Highlighting recent developments, Barrister Gohar underscored that any use of force by the Afghan Taliban regime against Pakistan will be met with a robust and decisive response. He praised the dedication and valor of Pakistan’s security forces, assuring the public that they remain vigilant and prepared to defend the country at all costs. The Chairman also called upon the nation to continue supporting and praying for the armed forces as they carry out their duties.
In recent military operations, Pakistan’s armed forces have demonstrated their effectiveness in responding to unprovoked attacks from the Afghan Taliban. Under the codename Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, the Pakistan Army successfully neutralized 133 Taliban militants and inflicted injuries on over 200 others. The operation also resulted in the complete destruction of 27 Taliban posts, with five of these positions being captured by Pakistani forces.
Moreover, the counter-offensive saw significant damage inflicted on the Taliban’s armored capabilities, including the destruction of more than 36 tanks, artillery guns, and armored personnel carriers (APCs). The swift and coordinated response forced the Taliban fighters to retreat hastily, abandoning numerous strategic posts and hideouts along the border region.
The Pakistan Air Force played a critical role in these operations by launching targeted airstrikes against Taliban battalion and sector headquarters. These strikes effectively demolished ammunition depots and other key infrastructure, further weakening the militant group’s operational capacity. In a symbolic gesture of sovereignty, the national flag was hoisted at seven reclaimed Afghan posts, signaling Pakistan’s resolve to maintain control and security along its borders.
These developments come at a time of heightened tensions between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban regime, underscoring the fragile security situation in the region. Barrister Gohar’s remarks and the military’s recent successes send a clear message that Pakistan is prepared to defend itself vigorously against any external threats while remaining open to peaceful coexistence where possible.
