Alex Cooper Announces Pregnancy Amid Expanding Media Career

Alex Cooper, the host of the popular podcast Call Her Daddy, shared on Sunday that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Matt Kaplan. She revealed the news on Instagram with a photo showcasing her baby bump and the caption: “Our family.”

For longtime followers, this pregnancy announcement comes at a time when Cooper’s life is undergoing significant changes beyond her personal milestones. Over recent years, she has evolved from being solely the voice behind Call Her Daddy into a prominent media personality. What started as a podcast focused on open conversations about dating, relationships, and contemporary life has grown into a broader enterprise.

In 2023, Cooper expanded her reach by launching the Unwell Network, a creator-led media platform, signaling her ambitions beyond podcasting. This development coincides with her pregnancy news, intensifying public interest in both her personal and professional journeys.

Just days before sharing her pregnancy, Cooper and Kaplan appeared together at YouTube’s TV Upfront presentations, highlighting ongoing projects linked to her expanding brand. This public appearance underscored the momentum behind her growing media presence.

On a personal level, this new chapter represents a significant shift for Cooper, who has previously expressed difficulty envisioning herself settling down or becoming a parent. Earlier episodes of Call Her Daddy featured candid discussions about how her perspectives on marriage and children evolved over time.

Cooper has also been open about her fertility concerns following an HPV diagnosis, which initially raised fears about her ability to conceive. Fortunately, after treatment, she tested negative, alleviating those worries.

Matt Kaplan, a film producer known for works such as To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, married Cooper in April 2024. The couple first connected during a Zoom call in 2020.

For fans who have followed Cooper’s journey from frank dating conversations to marriage and now impending motherhood, this announcement marks a pivotal moment as both her personal life and expanding business ventures enter a new phase.
