Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Business Council, met with Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan on Thursday to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations and expand economic cooperation, particularly in infrastructure development.
During the meeting, Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing motorway and highway projects, inviting Saudi investors to consider participation in these initiatives. He emphasized the potential for profitable and viable investment opportunities within the sector.
The minister specifically pointed out the M-6 (Sukkur–Hyderabad), M-10 (Karachi Port–link), and M-13 (Kharian–Rawalpindi) motorway projects as key prospects due to their commercial value and strategic role in improving regional connectivity and facilitating trade.
He noted that construction on new highways and motorways is advancing rapidly, reflecting the government’s strong commitment to upgrading the country’s transport infrastructure.
Prince Mansour expressed keen interest in investing in these motorway projects and indicated that the Saudi-Pakistan Business Council could help foster partnerships within the communications and infrastructure sectors.
Abdul Aleem Khan underscored the longstanding and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the deep religious and emotional bonds shared by their peoples. He assured that Saudi investors would receive full facilitation to ensure smooth and mutually beneficial cooperation.
In response, Prince Mansour pledged the Business Council’s full support and expressed optimism that his visit would strengthen economic and institutional connections between the two nations.
Both parties agreed that enhanced collaboration in infrastructure and connectivity projects would not only boost regional trade but also further solidify bilateral relations.
