PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar said on Thursday that political dialogue cannot be built on hollow offers and slogans. Speaking to reporters outside the Islamabad High Court, he said the party had lost its government during talks and questioned what would happen if negotiations collapsed in a deadlock.
Claims on emergency rule and governor’s rule
Gohar said there were no conditions that justified proclaiming an emergency or imposing governor’s rule. He said the situation had become serious and that practical steps were required.
PTI’s contact with Sohail Afridi and KP lawmakers
Gohar said the party has not been in contact with Sohail Afridi since 11 October, adding that Afridi is facing baseless cases. He also said the party had failed to contact its MPAs and the Speaker of the KP Assembly.
