Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, has strongly condemned a Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and expressed deep concern over the incident. In a statement posted on X, dated October 11, 2026, he said Pakistan was praying for the speedy recovery of all those injured, including six Pakistani nationals.
Dar said Pakistan condemns the attack “in the strongest terms.” He called such acts unacceptable and said they violate international law and pose a serious threat to regional peace and security.
Dar says attacks on civilians must stop
Dar said that targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure was completely unacceptable. He added that the attack breached international law and threatened regional stability.
“Such actions must stop immediately,” the deputy prime minister said.
Embassy in Riyadh assisting injured Pakistanis
Dar said Pakistan was in contact with Saudi authorities and closely monitoring the situation. He added that the Pakistani Embassy in Riyadh had been directed to coordinate with the relevant authorities and provide assistance to the injured Pakistani nationals.
The deputy prime minister also expressed solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
