Pakistan’s Foreign Office condemns Houthi attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid airport

Pakistan has strongly condemned the latest attack by the Houthi militia on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan described the targeting of a civilian airport as a heinous act of terrorism and a flagrant violation of international law.

The spokesperson said the attack poses a grave threat to regional peace and security. Pakistan voiced profound concern over reports of casualties and injuries.

Pakistan extends condolences to attack victims

Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan said Pakistan’s prayers are with the victims and their families. He offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved and wished a swift and full recovery for those who were injured.

He also said the repeated targeting of civilians and critical infrastructure by the Houthi militia is completely unacceptable. According to the spokesperson, the international community must condemn such acts without equivocation, and they must stop immediately.

Islamabad backs Saudi Arabia under the Makkah Agreement

Khan said Pakistan stands in firm solidarity with the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia. He cited the Makkah Agreement for Joint Defence and recent decisions taken by its Strategic, Political and Defence Committee as the basis for Pakistan’s commitment to the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and stability.

The spokesperson said Pakistan fully supports the Kingdom’s right to defend its territory, its people and its cities and vital infrastructure against all threats. Pakistan called on the Houthi militia to halt its attacks at once and urged the international community to take a firm stand against them.
