Security forces eliminated seven militants during separate operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
In Khyber district’s Bara area, five militants were killed in an intelligence-driven operation carried out under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative. The operation resulted in the destruction of multiple militant hideouts and the seizure of a significant cache of weapons and ammunition.
Meanwhile, in Balochistan’s Chagai district, two militants were killed during an operation in the Nok Kundi region as part of the Radd-ul-Fitnah 3 campaign. These militants were linked to Fitna al-Hindustan and were reportedly attempting to ignite an empty water tanker before fleeing the scene. Security forces engaged and neutralized both suspects.
These militants were also implicated in several arson attacks along the N-40 highway. Notably, eleven militants involved in similar incidents were killed on August 31.
Officials emphasized that security operations will persist until the threat of militancy is fully eradicated and sustainable peace is restored in the region.
In a significant development two days prior, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that over 71 militants had been killed and a large quantity of weapons and ammunition recovered during operations across Balochistan over a 96-hour timeframe.
