Over the last 96 hours, security forces have eliminated more than 71 terrorists in operations conducted across Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Sunday.
In a significant development, 33 terrorists affiliated with Indian-backed groups “Fitna Al-Khawarij” and “Fitna Al-Hindustan” were killed during an operation in the Shaban area of Quetta. Meanwhile, intensified operations over the previous 72 hours resulted in the deaths of 23 additional militants.
The operation commenced on September 21 in Ziarat and its surrounding regions after intelligence agencies identified several hideouts linked to these Indian-sponsored groups. Security forces engaged the militants, successfully clearing multiple hideouts and recovering a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
The military confirmed that the clearance operation remains ongoing until the complete neutralization of the threat. In separate intelligence-driven raids on September 25, 11 terrorists were killed at a hideout in Nushki, while six members of Fitna Al-Hindustan were eliminated in Mand. Large quantities of arms and ammunition were also seized during these operations.
The ISPR stated that these efforts have cleared extensive areas and alleviated the threat posed to local communities by these militants. Furthermore, the military accused the Afghan Taliban regime of continuing to support terrorist activities in Pakistan, backed by India, which jeopardizes regional peace and stability.
Under the government’s “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework, the counter-terrorism campaign will persist with full determination. Security forces and law enforcement agencies remain steadfast in their commitment to eradicating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
