The Sindh Home Department has officially revoked the no-objection certificates (NOCs) of 44 private security companies due to non-compliance with the Sindh Private Security Act 2026. This decisive move was announced through a notification issued by the department, highlighting multiple breaches of the law.
The cancellation of these NOCs stems from various violations, including the failure to renew company licenses and licenses for the weapons utilized by these firms. These shortcomings prompted the department to take stringent action against the companies involved.
In a notable development, the All-Private Security Agencies Association has expressed its support for the Home Department’s decision. Major Munir, the association’s chairman, confirmed that the revocations were made for several valid reasons related to regulatory non-compliance.
