Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Syrian Foreign Minister Asad Hassan Al-Shaibani on Thursday in Islamabad, where both leaders expressed their determination to broaden bilateral cooperation between their countries, described as “brotherly.”
Al-Shaibani arrived in Islamabad on an official visit and was warmly received by the Additional Secretary of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Shortly after, he held a focused and constructive meeting with Senator Ishaq Dar.
During their discussions, the two officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the close relationship between Pakistan and Syria. They explored opportunities to expand collaboration in key areas of mutual interest and exchanged views on the regional situation, pledging to maintain close coordination.
The Foreign Office emphasized that the visit aims to address all facets of Pakistan-Syria relations, including joint cooperation and significant regional and global developments. This engagement marks an important step toward enhancing diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Meanwhile, Malaysian Interior Minister Saifuddin Nasution arrived in Pakistan at the invitation of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. He was welcomed by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry. During his visit, the Malaysian minister is scheduled to meet with senior Pakistani officials to discuss internal security, bilateral relations, and avenues for mutual cooperation.
