The Punjab School Education Department has mandated the immediate enforcement of an inquiry report concerning the recruitment of Class IV employees during 2022 and 2023. The department has directed strict action against staff members appointed unlawfully, as well as the officials implicated in the recruitment process.

Notably, the contracts of 151 Class IV employees whose appointments were validated as lawful will be extended in accordance with applicable laws and government policies. Meanwhile, the department has ordered the termination of 209 employees whose appointments were deemed illegal, instructing the relevant authorities to expedite the dismissal procedures without delay.

In a significant development, disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against 69 officials accused of involvement in the unlawful recruitment activities. Authorities have been tasked with promptly providing comprehensive details about these officers, including their grades, current postings, retirement dates, and contact information.

Officials found culpable will be subjected to departmental action under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEDA) Act, 2006. Furthermore, the Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority Lahore has been directed to ensure swift compliance with these implementation orders, underscoring the department’s commitment to uphold transparency and accountability in recruitment.
