President Asif Ali Zardari presented the Sitara-e-Pakistan to Professor Pan Xiang Bin in a distinguished investiture ceremony held in Changsha, Hunan Province. This event was part of the President’s week-long state visit to China, which aims to reinforce the “all-weather” strategic partnership between the two countries.

Notably, the visit, spanning from April 25 to May 1, coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Islamabad and Beijing. The Chinese Foreign Ministry highlighted that this trip marks continued progress in high-level bilateral relations.

President Zardari’s schedule includes key engagements in both Hunan and Hainan provinces, signaling a strategic emphasis on regional cooperation beyond the capital city. This approach reflects a broader commitment to deepen ties at multiple levels.

In a significant development, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized China’s dedication to enhancing friendly exchanges and practical collaboration with Pakistan across diverse sectors. Both nations are working to establish a China-Pakistan community with a shared future through strengthened regional partnerships.

The awarding of the Sitara-e-Pakistan to Professor Pan Xiang Bin symbolizes profound appreciation for his role in advancing medical cooperation. This honor also represents the strong people-to-people connections that underpin the enduring bilateral relationship between Pakistan and China.
