    Canada High Commissioner and Ishaq Dar Discuss Regional Peace and Bilateral Relations

    In a significant diplomatic engagement, Canada’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Tarik Ali Khan, held a meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, in Islamabad. The discussions centered on reinforcing the longstanding bilateral relationship between the two countries and exploring avenues to promote peace and stability in the region.

    During the meeting, the Canadian envoy expressed Ottawa’s gratitude for Pakistan’s proactive role in facilitating dialogue and cooperation aimed at fostering peace in South Asia. This appreciation underscores Canada’s recognition of Pakistan’s strategic efforts to contribute positively to regional security dynamics.

    Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar emphasized Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to playing a constructive role in achieving sustainable peace not only within the region but also on a broader international scale. He welcomed the continuation of high-level exchanges between Pakistan and Canada, highlighting their importance in deepening mutual understanding and collaboration.

    Furthermore, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors, signaling a desire to strengthen economic, cultural, and political ties with Canada. This meeting reflects both nations’ shared interest in enhancing partnership and working together towards common goals of peace and development.
