Pakistan Conducts Targeted Operations Against Militants in Afghanistan Based on Verified Intellig…

Pakistan’s Information Minister, Ataullah Tarar, has affirmed that the country is actively engaging in targeted military operations against militant hideouts located within Afghan territory. These actions are reportedly guided by precise and reliable intelligence, ensuring that the focus remains strictly on dismantling terrorist infrastructure rather than affecting civilian populations. Speaking during an interview with international media, Tarar emphasized that Pakistan’s efforts are concentrated solely on neutralizing terrorist networks, their logistical support, and operational bases.

In his detailed remarks, the minister categorically denied any Pakistani strikes on civilian areas inside Afghanistan, underscoring the importance of distinguishing between legitimate counterterrorism operations and unfounded allegations. He stressed that the Pakistani military takes extensive precautions to avoid collateral damage, reflecting Islamabad’s commitment to respecting the sovereignty and safety of Afghan civilians despite ongoing security challenges along the border regions.

Tarar also addressed recent claims made by the Afghan Taliban government, dismissing their casualty figures and reports of battlefield successes against Pakistan as exaggerated and lacking credibility. He described these assertions as mere propaganda designed to mislead both domestic and international audiences. The minister highlighted that such statements do not align with the realities on the ground and serve only to distort the true nature of the conflict.

Furthermore, the Information Minister refuted reports concerning civilian casualties cited by both the Taliban administration and the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA). He pointed out that the UN agency’s data is heavily reliant on information provided by the Taliban government, which raises questions about its impartiality and accuracy. Tarar suggested that these figures should be scrutinized carefully, given the complex dynamics and vested interests involved.

Adding another layer to the ongoing security discourse, Tarar revealed that recent coordinated attacks involving Afghan Taliban fighters alongside militants from the group Fitna al-Khawarij indicate a troubling nexus between the Taliban government and various terrorist organizations operating within Afghanistan. This alliance, the minister, poses a direct threat not only to Pakistan’s security but also to regional stability as a whole.

In response to these hostile actions, Pakistan has reportedly acted swiftly and decisively, targeting terrorist bases and their affiliates, including Taliban military positions, with precision strikes. Tarar conveyed that Islamabad remains vigilant and prepared to counter any aggression emanating from Afghan soil, reaffirming Pakistan’s resolve to safeguard its borders and citizens against terrorism.

Overall, the minister’s statements shed light on the complex security landscape along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, highlighting Islamabad’s ongoing efforts to combat militancy while navigating the sensitive political and humanitarian issues involved. As the situation continues to evolve, Pakistan’s approach appears focused on intelligence-driven operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks without escalating tensions or causing undue harm to innocent civilians.
