Sindh has become the first province to link all of its educational boards with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), according to Provincial Minister for Universities Ismail Rahoo. An agreement to integrate the boards was signed at a ceremony attended by the minister, NADRA’s Director General and all board chairmen.
Separately, NADRA has outlined how parents can obtain a replacement B-Form if their child’s document is lost.
Sindh boards to integrate with NADRA database
Rahoo said the integration would help prevent fake degrees and proxy exams, which he described as taking an exam on someone else’s behalf. He said all educational boards will be connected to NADRA’s secure digital system, bringing transparency to the examination process and digitising educational records.
He added that students’ verified degrees will also be available on the Pak ID app. The NADRA Director General said the authority will provide the integration facility to all educational boards free of charge.
How parents can replace a lost B-Form
In a statement, NADRA said applicants can visit their nearest NADRA Registration Centre or use the Pak ID mobile app to apply for a replacement from home. The authority said the fee is Rs50 under the normal category and Rs500 under the executive category.
The B-Form, also known as the Child Registration Certificate (CRC), is an official document used to register children in Pakistan’s national database.
