The clarification came as administrative measures tightened in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where a state of emergency and governor’s rule are in effect. Section 144 applies in Peshawar as well.
In Punjab, colleges, schools and universities kept running on Monday after the provincial School Education and Higher Education departments labelled separate closure notices as fake. Both departments said regular timetables would continue.
