Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has reaffirmed his firm commitment to safeguarding every inch of Pakistan’s territory amid escalating tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Speaking from Peshawar, Afridi emphasized that protecting the nation’s borders is not just a duty but a solemn responsibility that the provincial government takes very seriously in the current climate of uncertainty.

Addressing the recent surge in border provocations, Afridi described the situation as deeply concerning and highlighted that the provincial administration is keeping a vigilant eye on developments. He made it clear that no form of external aggression or hostile activity will be tolerated, stressing that the security of border areas remains non-negotiable. This stance reflects the broader national resolve to maintain sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of any challenges.

In addition to condemning provocations, the Chief Minister revealed that the provincial government is maintaining continuous communication with federal agencies and security institutions to ensure a coordinated response. This collaboration aims to enhance situational awareness and enable swift action should the need arise. Afridi’s remarks underscore the importance of unity and preparedness among various government bodies during times of heightened border tensions.

Protecting the lives and livelihoods of communities residing in the border regions is a top priority for Afridi’s administration. He acknowledged the anxiety and concerns expressed by local residents, assuring them that the government will not abandon them in these challenging times. To this end, he has instructed local authorities to remain on high alert and to be ready to respond promptly to any emergencies that may occur, thereby reinforcing the government’s commitment to public safety.

Furthermore, Afridi called on all stakeholders to exercise restraint and responsible behavior to help preserve peace and stability in the region. His message conveyed the critical need for calm and vigilance as the situation continues to evolve. The Chief Minister’s proactive approach reflects a broader strategy to manage border security while minimizing risks to civilians and preventing escalation.

As tensions persist along this sensitive frontier, the KP government’s actions and Afridi’s firm declarations send a clear signal that Pakistan’s territorial integrity will be defended resolutely. The ongoing focus on border security and community protection highlights the challenges faced by the region and the government’s determination to address them effectively.
