Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has reiterated his unwavering commitment to safeguarding every inch of Pakistan’s territory, particularly in light of the recent escalation of tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Speaking from Peshawar, Afridi emphasized that protecting the nation’s frontiers is not only a governmental responsibility but a solemn national duty that must be upheld with utmost vigilance and resolve.

Addressing the growing concerns surrounding the border situation, Afridi described the current circumstances as deeply troubling and stressed that the provincial government is closely monitoring developments on a continuous basis. He made it clear that any attempts at provocation or hostile actions from across the border would be met with a firm and uncompromising response, underscoring that the security of Pakistan’s border regions remains paramount.

In his statement, the Chief Minister condemned all forms of external aggression and warned that the government would not tolerate any breaches of peace or sovereignty. He highlighted the importance of coordination between provincial authorities and federal security agencies, noting that constant communication is being maintained to ensure a unified and effective response to any emerging threats.

Furthermore, Afridi placed significant emphasis on the safety and well-being of the communities residing in the border areas. He acknowledged the anxiety and apprehension felt by local residents due to the ongoing tensions and assured them that the government is fully committed to their protection. Measures are being actively implemented to enhance security infrastructure and provide necessary support to these vulnerable populations.

To prepare for any potential emergencies, the Chief Minister has instructed the local administration to remain on high alert and ready to respond swiftly to any incidents. He stressed the critical role of responsible behavior and cooperation among all stakeholders in preserving peace and stability in the region. Afridi’s firm stance reflects the provincial government’s dedication to maintaining order and defending Pakistan’s territorial integrity amid a challenging geopolitical environment.
