Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has issued a firm statement in response to the increasing tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, emphasizing that the defense of the nation’s territorial boundaries is an essential and collective responsibility. His remarks come at a time when regional security concerns have heightened, prompting provincial authorities to maintain a heightened state of alert.

Describing the current situation as deeply concerning, Afridi noted that the provincial government is closely monitoring all developments along the frontier. He stressed the importance of vigilance and preparedness, underscoring that any attempts to undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with resolute opposition. The chief minister made it clear that safeguarding the country’s territorial integrity is not just a governmental duty but a national imperative that transcends political and regional divides.

In his address, Afridi strongly condemned any acts of provocation or cross-border hostilities, reiterating that Pakistan’s national security cannot be compromised under any circumstances. He highlighted the ongoing collaboration between the provincial administration and federal security agencies, aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the border regions. This coordinated approach is designed to ensure rapid response capabilities and effective management of any emerging threats.

Furthermore, the chief minister expressed deep concern for the wellbeing of residents living in the border districts, acknowledging the anxiety and hardships faced by these communities amid the volatile situation. He assured the public that the government is prioritizing their safety by implementing concrete measures to protect both lives and property. Afridi’s commitment reflects a broader strategy to support vulnerable populations and reinforce security infrastructure in these sensitive areas.

Reaffirming the provincial government’s dedication to the people along the frontier, Afridi emphasized that no citizen in these regions will be left without assistance or protection. He directed officials to remain on high alert and to be prepared for swift action should any emergency arise. Stressing the need for a balanced and responsible response, he called for calm and unity to preserve peace and prevent escalation, highlighting that maintaining stability is crucial for the overall security of Pakistan.
