Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has publicly expressed strong appreciation for the Pakistan Armed Forces following their prompt and decisive reaction to recent cross-border attacks originating from Afghanistan. Her remarks came amid rising tensions along the border, where Pakistan has faced multiple security challenges in recent weeks. Aurangzeb highlighted the military’s professionalism and resilience, underscoring the country’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty.

In her statement, Aurangzeb emphasized that Pakistan has consistently demonstrated patience and exercised considerable restraint in the face of provocations. She made it clear that the nation’s approach, rooted in peace and diplomacy, should not be mistaken for weakness or indecision. The swift retreat of the attackers, she pointed out, was a testament to the Pakistan Army’s effective and measured countermeasures, which swiftly neutralized the threat and restored stability to the affected areas.

Furthermore, Aurangzeb drew attention to Pakistan’s longstanding role as a constructive partner in Afghanistan’s development and peace-building efforts. She reminded the public that Pakistan has always supported initiatives aimed at fostering welfare and stability in Afghanistan, despite the challenges posed by hostile elements. The recent attacks, she condemned, represent a clear breach of international norms and violate agreements established with the Afghan administration, undermining regional harmony.

Highlighting the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Aurangzeb praised the armed forces for their exemplary display of military expertise and strategic defense. She likened the military’s response to a historic battle fought in the name of truth and justice, reflecting the courage and dedication of Pakistan’s soldiers in protecting their homeland. The minister also acknowledged the sacrifices made by the armed forces in the ongoing fight against terrorism, recognizing their vital role in maintaining peace not only within Pakistan’s borders but also contributing to regional and global security.

In conclusion, Marriyum Aurangzeb reiterated Pakistan’s firm belief in peaceful coexistence with all nations, including its neighbors. However, she stressed that this commitment to peace will never come at the expense of national security or the safety of Pakistani citizens. The government and military remain resolute in defending the country’s territorial integrity and ensuring that any threats are met with a swift and effective response.
