PM’s Foreign Media Spokesman Confirms No Pakistani Posts Lost Amid Cross-Border Clashes

In a firm statement addressing recent tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the Prime Minister’s spokesperson for foreign media, Mosharraf Zaidi, clarified that no Pakistani military posts have been seized or harmed amid the ongoing hostilities. The remarks came on Thursday following reports of multiple unprovoked attacks by Taliban forces targeting locations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Zaidi emphasized that despite the aggressive firing from the Afghan side, Pakistani forces have successfully repelled these incursions, inflicting significant losses on the Taliban militants. He highlighted that the Pakistani military’s response has been swift and decisive, ensuring the security of the border region remains intact. This robust defense has prevented any breach or damage to Pakistani installations, underscoring the resilience and preparedness of the armed forces deployed in the area.

Furthermore, the spokesperson dismissed any claims suggesting that Pakistani posts were compromised or that soldiers were captured during the clashes. He categorically rejected such narratives as unfounded and misleading, attributing them to misinformation campaigns orchestrated by Indian proxies operating within Afghanistan. This assertion points to the broader geopolitical complexities influencing the conflict, where misinformation is often used as a tool to destabilize regional security.

Zaidi reassured the public and international observers that Pakistan remains vigilant and committed to defending its sovereignty against any form of aggression. He warned that any hostile actions directed towards Pakistan will be met with immediate and effective retaliation, reflecting the country’s zero-tolerance policy towards cross-border provocations. This stance serves as a clear message to all parties involved that Pakistan’s territorial integrity will not be compromised.

The recent exchange of fire along the border highlights the fragile security situation in the region, where tensions between Pakistan and Taliban elements in Afghanistan continue to flare. The government’s prompt communication through its spokesperson aims to provide clarity and counteract any misinformation that could escalate the situation further. As the situation develops, Pakistan’s military and diplomatic channels remain actively engaged to maintain stability and prevent further escalation.
