PAF Conducts Precision Airstrikes on Taliban Military Sites in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has recently executed a series of targeted airstrikes against strategic Taliban military installations located in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia provinces of Afghanistan. These operations mark a significant escalation in Pakistan’s response to ongoing cross-border hostilities, aiming to dismantle critical Taliban infrastructure and reduce their operational capabilities.

Among the key targets destroyed during these airstrikes were two brigade headquarters in Kabul, a corps headquarters and a brigade headquarters in Kandahar, as well as an ammunition depot and a logistics base in the same region. Additionally, a corps headquarters in Paktia was also neutralized. These strikes have severely disrupted Taliban command and control structures, delivering a substantial blow to their military strength in these areas.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar provided an update early Friday morning, confirming that Pakistan’s counterstrikes inside Afghan territory are ongoing and have inflicted significant damage to Taliban forces. In an exclusive interview, Tarar emphasized that the airstrikes were precise and carefully planned, targeting not only command centers but also critical supply lines, including ammunition depots and logistic hubs. He highlighted that over 80 tanks, artillery pieces, and armored personnel carriers were destroyed during these operations, underscoring the scale and effectiveness of Pakistan’s military response.

These actions come as a direct retaliation to unprovoked firing by the Afghan Taliban along various points of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Tarar made it clear that Pakistan will continue to respond firmly and decisively to any aggression, reinforcing the country’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and national security. He also criticized the Afghan Taliban regime for attempting to distort the narrative by spreading misinformation through social media channels, some of which are reportedly influenced by Indian accounts. Despite these propaganda efforts, Pakistan’s armed forces remain resolute and undeterred in their mission.

Meanwhile, the Taliban’s spokesperson, Zabiullah Mujahid, acknowledged the Pakistani airstrikes in a statement posted on social media platform X, confirming that targets in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia were hit. This admission highlights the gravity of the situation and the ongoing military tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban-controlled Afghan territories.

It is worth noting that these developments occur against a backdrop of heightened instability along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, where sporadic clashes and ceasefire violations have become increasingly frequent. The Pakistani military’s swift and robust airstrikes demonstrate a strategic shift towards proactive defense measures aimed at neutralizing threats before they can escalate further. Moving forward, the situation remains fluid, with both sides closely monitoring each other’s actions amid a complex regional security environment.
