    In a robust and unwavering response to recent unprovoked attacks along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the Pakistani military has launched a large-scale operation named Ghazb-Lil-Haq. This decisive military campaign targeted militant factions affiliated with the Afghan Taliban regime, delivering a significant setback to their operational capabilities. The operation underscores Pakistan’s steadfast resolve to protect its territorial sovereignty and maintain peace along its western frontier.

    The escalation began when Afghan Taliban forces initiated unprovoked firing across multiple points along the border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. This hostile aggression prompted an immediate and well-coordinated counterattack by Pakistan’s armed forces, who responded with precision and tactical expertise. The swift retaliation not only neutralized enemy positions but also sent a strong message regarding Pakistan’s readiness to defend its borders against any form of incursion.

    Information Minister Attaullah Tarar provided crucial updates in the early hours of February 27, 2026, confirming that Operation Ghazb-Lil-Haq had reached a critical and highly effective phase. He described the military’s actions as measured yet powerful, emphasizing that the response was carefully calibrated to address the Taliban’s unprovoked aggression. the minister, Pakistani forces have successfully eliminated 133 militants while inflicting injuries on over 200 others, further weakening the Taliban’s presence in the region.

    Minister Tarar elaborated on the operational achievements, revealing that Pakistani troops have destroyed 27 Taliban posts and captured an additional nine. These strategic victories have severely disrupted the Taliban’s command and logistics infrastructure, dealing a blow to their ability to coordinate future attacks. Key targets hit during the operation include two corps headquarters, three brigade headquarters, two ammunition depots, a logistics base, three battalion headquarters, and two sector headquarters. Additionally, more than 80 tanks, artillery pieces, and armored personnel carriers were destroyed, significantly degrading the militant group’s combat strength.

    Military officials highlighted that the operation is ongoing, with Pakistani forces maintaining a high state of readiness to counter any further threats. The comprehensive nature of the counter-offensive demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to securing every inch of its territory and ensuring that hostile elements cannot establish footholds along the border. The destruction of Taliban infrastructure and heavy equipment marks a major tactical success for Pakistan’s defense forces.

    In particular, the Chitral sector witnessed precise strikes against Taliban check posts and hideouts, forcing militants into retreat and inflicting substantial casualties. Similar operations were conducted across multiple sectors, including Nawagai in Bajaur, Tirah in Khyber, Mohmand district, Kurram, and the Arandu sector. Each of these areas saw Pakistani troops respond decisively to provocations, destroying enemy positions and reinforcing border security.

    The Bajaur region alone saw the elimination of two Afghan posts, underscoring the scale and accuracy of Pakistan’s military response. Security agencies continue to monitor the situation closely, with reinforcements deployed to ensure that any further aggression is met with an even stronger and more effective countermeasure. This heightened vigilance reflects Pakistan’s strategic priority of maintaining stability and control along its western frontier.

    In an official statement shared on social media, the Ministry of Information condemned the Afghan Taliban’s miscalculation in initiating unprovoked attacks. The statement reaffirmed that Pakistani security forces are responding promptly and effectively, inflicting heavy losses on hostile elements across key border regions including Chitral, Khyber, Mohmand, Kurram, and Bajaur. The ministry made it clear that defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity remains an absolute priority, with no compromises tolerated.

    Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry strongly denounced the actions of the Afghan Taliban, emphasizing Pakistan’s preference for peaceful dialogue but asserting the country’s readiness to use all necessary force to maintain peace and protect its citizens. He criticized the Taliban’s policies, particularly their exploitation of children as guerrilla fighters, and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability and responsible governance.

    Security officials highlighted the unity and professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces, praising their bravery and dedication in safeguarding the nation’s borders. Operation Ghazb-Lil-Haq sends a clear and unequivocal message: Pakistan will not tolerate any form of aggression, and any threats to its sovereignty will be met with overwhelming and decisive military action. The operation stands as a testament to Pakistan’s resolve to defend its homeland and uphold peace along its borders.
