PM Shehbaz Sharif Assures Strong Response to Any Threats Against Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again underscored Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Addressing the nation, he highlighted the constant vigilance and preparedness of the country’s armed forces, emphasizing that both the military and the people stand united in protecting Pakistan from any form of aggression. This statement comes amid rising tensions along the western border, reflecting the government’s firm stance on national security.

Elaborating on the capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces, the Prime Minister expressed confidence in their ability to effectively counter any threats, whether originating internally or from outside the country. He praised the military’s professionalism, advanced training, and strategic defensive measures, which are continuously enhanced under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF). Shehbaz Sharif, these factors ensure that Pakistan remains fully equipped to maintain peace and stability within its borders.

Shehbaz Sharif made it clear that Pakistan’s policy has always been rooted in the pursuit of peace and diplomatic resolution. However, he firmly warned that any hostile action against the country will be met with a swift and resolute response. “We will not tolerate any attempts to undermine our nation’s security or disrupt the harmony of our people,” he stated, reinforcing the government’s determination to defend the country’s sovereignty at all costs.

In a show of solidarity, the Prime Minister also highlighted the unity of the Pakistani people with their armed forces. He stressed that the entire nation stands behind the military’s efforts to protect the country, reflecting a collective spirit of resilience and patriotism. This unity, he noted, is a critical pillar in Pakistan’s defense strategy and national morale.

The Prime Minister’s remarks came in the wake of recent cross-border hostilities. On the night of Friday, February 26, 2026, at approximately 10:30 pm, unprovoked firing was reported from Afghan Taliban forces targeting multiple locations along the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) border. In response to these aggressive actions, Pakistan launched a retaliatory operation named ‘Ghazab Lil Haq’ against the Afghan Taliban regime. This decisive military response underscores Pakistan’s resolve to protect its borders and deter any future incursions.

These developments highlight the ongoing security challenges faced by Pakistan along its western frontier. The government’s firm response and the military’s preparedness send a clear message that Pakistan remains vigilant and ready to defend its sovereignty. As the situation continues to evolve, the nation watches closely, united in support of its armed forces and committed to peace, stability, and the protection of its territorial integrity.
