Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to peaceful conflict resolution through diplomacy during a significant event held in Islamabad on Wednesday. Emphasizing the importance of dialogue, Dar highlighted that Pakistan continues to prioritize diplomatic engagement both regionally and globally as the most effective means to address ongoing disputes and tensions.

In his address, Dar underscored the long-standing Kashmir conflict, stressing that the people of Kashmir must be granted their fundamental right to self-determination. He pointed out that this right is firmly supported by the relevant United Nations resolutions, which Pakistan insists should guide any resolution to the dispute. The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated that the Kashmir issue remains a core concern for Pakistan and that its resolution in accordance with international mandates is essential for lasting peace in the region.

Expanding on Pakistan’s broader diplomatic efforts, Ishaq Dar spoke about the country’s growing cooperation with friendly nations across various strategic sectors. He noted that Pakistan’s relationship with the United States has entered a new, more constructive phase, characterized by renewed dialogue and enhanced collaboration on multiple fronts. This development signals a positive shift in bilateral ties, which Pakistan hopes will contribute to regional stability and mutual benefit.

Furthermore, Dar highlighted ongoing initiatives to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties with Bangladesh, reflecting Pakistan’s proactive foreign policy approach. He described this strategy as dynamic and forward-looking, aimed at fostering stronger partnerships that can support shared regional interests. Additionally, he mentioned Pakistan’s increasing engagement with Central Asian countries, noting that relations with this strategically important region have gained significant momentum in recent times.

Turning to developments in the Middle East, the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out Pakistan’s active participation in the Gaza Peace Board, reaffirming the country’s principled stance on the Palestinian issue. He emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to promoting peace and stability in the region through multilateral efforts. Regarding Iran, Dar expressed optimism about the potential for improved relations and peaceful resolution of differences, stressing that dialogue remains the only viable path to achieving lasting peace and security.

In conclusion, Ishaq Dar’s remarks reflected Pakistan’s consistent policy of pursuing peaceful solutions to complex regional challenges. By advocating for diplomacy and adherence to international resolutions, Pakistan aims to contribute constructively to regional harmony and global peace efforts. The Deputy Prime Minister’s statements come at a time when diplomatic engagement is crucial for addressing multiple geopolitical issues in South Asia and beyond.
