The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast for widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds across northern Pakistan from June 2 through June 5. Several areas may also experience hailstorms during this period.

Regions including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and multiple districts within Punjab are expected to witness rain accompanied by thunderstorms, with hail possible in select locations.

Meanwhile, Azad Jammu and Kashmir along with Gilgit-Baltistan are forecast to experience rain and thunderstorms extending from June 2 until June 6. The PMD has cautioned that heavy rainfall and hailstorms could occur in some parts of these areas.

Most districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also likely to be impacted by strong winds, dust storms, and rain between June 2 and June 5. Similarly, northeastern districts of Balochistan are predicted to receive rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds from June 2 to June 4.

In addition, several districts of upper Sindh are expected to see thunderstorms and rainfall during the same timeframe.

In a significant development, authorities have warned of potential landslides in the mountainous regions of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir from June 3 to June 6 due to the anticipated heavy rains.

The PMD has urged residents, travelers, and local administrations in vulnerable zones to exercise caution and implement necessary safety measures in response to the changing weather conditions.
