Misbah Arshad Crowned Miss Universe Pakistan, Set for Global Stage

Misbah Arshad has been crowned Miss Universe Pakistan after a highly competitive selection process, marking her as the fourth Pakistani woman to represent the country at the Miss Universe competition. The crowning ceremony took place in the Philippines, where Josh Yugen, the franchise owner of Miss Universe Pakistan, presented her sash. The outgoing titleholder, Roma Riaz, placed the crown on Arshad’s head. The organization shared footage of the moment across its social media channels.

Arshad’s winning moment was largely attributed to her impressive answer during the final question round. Filipino actor and musician Bailey May asked which version of herself—at age 10 or 80—would pose the more challenging question if both were in the same room. Arshad responded that her 10-year-old self would be tougher, curious about how her life had unfolded. She explained that despite many setbacks, she kept rising and described life as a beautiful cycle to be embraced and enjoyed. She added, “The hotter the fire, the purer the gold.”

A psychology student, Arshad brings valuable pageant experience, having previously represented Pakistan at Miss International 2023 in Japan and Miss Supranational 2024 in Poland. Her next challenge will be competing at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico.

Reflecting on her victory in a social media post, Arshad emphasized that failure does not define a winner. Instead, perseverance, hope, continuous effort, and personal growth are what truly matter. She expressed that while winning the crown was significant, the real reward lay in the journey, the lessons learned, and the connections made. She also extended gratitude to everyone who supported her throughout.

Arshad also shared the symbolism behind her coronation outfit, a white gown featuring a crystal-studded bodice designed by Vietnamese designer Nguyễn Tiến Truyển. She explained that the white color represents hope and serves as a reminder to keep believing in one’s dreams, while the royal blue crystals symbolize the education and knowledge gained through lifelong learning.
