Kanye West to Headline UK Wireless Festival After 11 Years

Kanye West is preparing to make his return to the UK stage after an 11-year absence. The 48-year-old rapper will headline all three nights of the Wireless Festival this July at Finsbury Park, marking his first major UK performance since his Glastonbury Festival appearance in 2015.

This announcement represents a notable comeback for the artist, who has largely refrained from live UK performances in recent years. West’s return comes amid ongoing attempts to restore his public reputation following a series of controversial remarks and incidents.

Previously, Kanye faced significant backlash for antisemitic comments, which resulted in the loss of partnerships with several major brands. Earlier this year, he issued a written apology addressing his past behavior, acknowledging the harm caused and linking some of his actions to mental health challenges. He disclosed his diagnosis of bipolar disorder and described experiencing episodes where he felt disconnected from reality. West emphasized that he is now seeking treatment and focusing on recovery.

Despite the excitement surrounding the announcement, uncertainty remains about whether the shows will proceed as planned, given West’s history of unpredictable performances and last-minute cancellations. Nonetheless, anticipation among fans is growing, with the three-night headline slot being one of the festival’s most high-profile bookings.

The upcoming performances also follow the release of his long-delayed album, Bully, which faced multiple postponements before its recent launch.
